Vegan Leather FAQ's
What is it made from?
Our leather alternative is made from Spanish Milled OEKO-TEX Standard 100-certified Microfibre Polyurethane.
It's a synthetic material that has been created to replicate not only the look, but also the feel of traditional leather.
There are many options available for leather alternatives, but we feel this one is the best option when it comes to transitioning away from traditional leather, without sacrificing any of the qualities that make it such a widely used material for footwear.
You can read more about our material choices on this page.
How durable is it?
The leather alternative we have selected for our footwear came from many rounds of sampling and research.
We wanted a material that not only looked and felt like traditional leather, but lasted like it.
We have seen many pairs of our boots that have been worn daily for years and the material has worn, aged and softened just like traditional leather.
You can see some examples of this, and find more information on this page.
How do I look after it?
Looking after vegan leather is even easier than traditional leather.
Got a bit carried away at a festival and got your boots covered in mud? Just use warm water and a sponge to clean it off.
Want to put a bit of extra life and polish back into your shoes? Our favourite product is the vegan renovating cream from British shoe manufacturers, Solovair (Which we stock here)
Otherwise, you can use some standard petroleum jelly and a microfibre cloth to achieve similar results.

Why do you use it?
Noskin was born because of a lack of style that previously existed in vegan footwear and fashion.
The co-founders of this company love good design and style, but also follow a vegan lifestyle. We were frustrated at the lack of options that blended ethics and aesthetics, so we decided to take matters into our own hands.
